Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a summer swoop for Ivory Coast international star Jean Michael Seri, according to ESPN FC.

The Premier League side, who have signed defender Sead Kolasinac (FC Schalke) and striker Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon) this transfer window, have been freshly linked with a move for the Nice midfielder.

The 26-year-old, who has 14 international caps for his country, scored seven goals and provided nine assists in 39 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit last season.

Seri, who joined the French outfit back in June 2015 from Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira, has netted 10 goals in 81 games overall for Nice, helping the club qualify for the UEFA Champions League after finishing third in the league standings last term.

The report suggests The Gunners are pondering an offer for the Ivorian star before the close of the summer transfer window, although North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with Seri’s services.
