Arsenal got the Premier League season underway with a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Friday.

The Gunners earned their first three points of the season courtesy of Gabriel Martinelli’s first half strike and an own goal from Marc Guehi.

New signing Gabriel Jesus failed to continue his fine pre-season form, but fellow new boy Oleksandr Zinchenko registered his first assist for the club.

Despite making several new signings already this summer, it appears that manager Mikel Arteta is keen to add more new faces to his squad.

Speaking after the game, the Spaniard admitted that the club are still working on more additions.

“We are going to try. We have a few things going on now and if we get them it will be great – but for now, we have to work with the players we have,” he told Sky Sports.

As well as the acquisitions of Zinchenko and Jesus, Arsenal have also landed Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira and Matt Turner this summer.
