Arsenal boss Unai Emery strips Granit Xhaka stripped of captaincy and dropped from Europa League squad, according to the Guardian

In-form striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who lead the team out on Sunday in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers is set to retain the captaincy.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been amongst the goals again this season.

This follows Xhaka’s outburst towards the Emirates faithful, when he was booed by large numbers of the Gunners’ crowd during their disappointing draw to Crystal Palace.

Arsenal travel to Portuguese side Vitória de Guimarães tomorrow in the Europa League, where they will be without their midfielder Xhaka.

The Switzerland international has been a regular for Arsenal, featuring in ten of their Premier League games this campaign.
