Arsenal are poised to sign Willian on a free after the forward left Chelsea, according to reports.

The 32-year-old brought an end to his seven-year spell at Stamford Bridge on Sunday during which time he helped the club win two Premier League titles, FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League.

According to the Evening Standard, the Brazil international hasn’t waited long to pick his next challenge.

It’s claimed that the wide attacker has undergone a medical at London rivals Arsenal, who defeated Chelsea in the FA Cup final earlier this month.

Willian will reportedly sign a three-year deal with the Gunners and complete his move across the capital this week.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was keen to keep the South American but the Blues were only willing to offer him a two-year deal due to his age.

The forward joined the Blues back in 2013 from Anzhi Makhachkala and has since scored 63 goals in 339 matches for the club.

Despite being 32, there’s no doubting Willian will add quality along with experience and a winning mentality to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
