Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Brazil Under-23 international forward Malcom, according to the Guardian.
The Premier League side, who suffered a 2-1 defeat at the Vitality Stadium to the hands of AFC Bournemouth on Sunday, have been heavily linked with a January move for the highly rated Bordeaux right winger.
The 20-year-old, who has featured twice for Brazil’s Under-23 side, has scored seven goals and provided six assists in 22 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit so far this season.
Malcom, who joined the French club from Corinthians back in January 2016, has netted 18 times in 80 games overall for Bordeaux.
With fellow forward Alexis Sanchez set to leave the Emirates Stadium this month, with Premier League rivals Manchester United favourites to sign the Chile star, the report suggests manager Arsene Wenger’s number one target to replace him is Brazilian Malcom, who is expected to cost around £45m.
