Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a club-record deal for France international star Nabil Fekir, according to the Daily Star.

The Premier League side, who host North London rivals Tottenham Hospur at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, have been heavily linked with a mega money move for the in-form Lyon midfielder ahead of the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old, who has 10 international caps for his country, has impressively scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 15 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit so far this season.

Fekir, who has been at Lyon since he was just 12-years-old, has netted 46 times in 128 games overall for the club.

However, following his blistering start to the 2017-18 campaign, the report claims Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is close to luring the attacking midfielder to the Emirates in the New Year.

A £60m deal is thought to be “almost done” – a transfer fee that would surpass the club record £52m they splashed out on former Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in the summer.
