Arsenal are reportedly considering a £22m bid for Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.

The Premier League outfit sent out scouts to watch the 24-year-old in Georgia during Sevilla’s enthralling 5-4 defeat to FC Barcelona in the UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday.

Krychowiak, who has 26 international caps for Poland, scored four goals in 48 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga side last season, who won the 2015 UEFA Europa League.

It is understood that the defensive midfielder has a buy-out clause of £21.26m at Sevilla, which could tempt Gunners boss Arsene Wenger into making a late move before the close of the transfer window.

With goalkeeper Petr Cech being Arsenal’s only major new signing so far this summer; it is thought that Wenger wants to bring Krychowiak to the Emirates as competition for fellow midfielder Francis Coquelin.
