Arsenal’s season is now heading in the right direction after a terrible start which saw them lose their first three Premier League games.

Mikel Arteta’s side now are now seven unbeaten in the top-flight and sit just three points off fourth placed West Ham.

Summer signings Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale and Albert Sambi Lokonga have now settled into life at the Emirates and have contributed with impressive performances in recent games.

Ramsdale has been in top form for Arsenal.

But one player, who left the Gunners on a temporary deal in the summer, hasn’t quite fitted into his new surroundings as much as the North London side would’ve liked.

The highly-rated Miguel Azeez impressed under Arteta in pre-season – most notably scoring with a strike from range against Watford.

That goal and potential shown at academy level resulted in Portsmouth persuading Arsenal to let the 19-year-old move to League One on loan.

However, he’s since only featured once for Danny Cowley’s side and that came back in September in a 2-1 defeat against Cambridge United.

This, according to football.london, has prompted the Gunners to consider recalling their young starlet, who has previously been in a Premier League matchday squad.

Arteta handed the England Under-20 international his senior debut against Dundalk in the Europa League last term and will want him to be getting as much game time as possible to continue his development.

Currently this is not happening at Fratton Park, so it will be interesting to see if Azeez will be recalled or if he can force his way into Pompey’s plans in order to get the experience his parent club initially expected.
