France international defender Laurent Koscielny has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for FC Bayern Munich, according to the Express.

The Bundesliga giants, who claimed their 26th German title last term after finishing ten points ahead of runners-up Borussia Dortmund in the top-flight division, are understood to be keen on a potential deal for the Arsenal centre-half ahead of the upcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The 30-year-old, who has 35 international caps for his country and helped France reach the final of EURO 2016 last Sunday, scored four goals in 44 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners last season.

Koscielny, who starred for Arsenal last term as they pipped North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to second spot in the Premier League on the final day of the 2015/16 campaign, is understood to have one year remaining on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium.

However the report suggests that talks over a new contract worth £90,000-a-week for the Frenchman has stalled, allowing Carlo Ancelotti’s Bayern to state their interest in the centre-half after the Germans offloaded fellow defender Medhi Benatia to Serie A champions Juventus earlier this week.
