Premier League leaders Arsenal return to action when they face title rivals Manchester City on March 31.

The Gunners finished as runners-up to City last season and manager Mikel Arteta will be desperate to avoid a repeat of that scenario this term.

At present, the North London outfit sit above second-placed Liverpool on goal difference, with City a point further back in third.

Victory for either City or Arsenal could go a long way towards deciding which side wins the top flight title this term, although Liverpool will also be desperate to do so in Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge at Anfield.

Off the pitch, it appears that Arsenal could sell one of their fringe players this summer.

As per Football Insider, midfielder Reiss Nelson could be sold when the transfer window reopens.

Nelson could leave Arsenal this summer

Nelson, 24, is a product of the Gunners’ youth academy but has only ever played a bit-part role for the club.

He has made a total of 88 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists.

Nelson hasn’t started a single Premier League match so far this season, leading to suggestions that he could look for a move elsewhere in an effort to secure regular playing time.

The report claims that fellow Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion are also interested in Nelson if he were to be made available for transfer this summer.

Arsenal would demand a fee of around £25-30 million for the Englishman, who is out of contract at the end of the 2026/27 season.

Nelson’s versatility could appeal to Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi, with the Englishman able to operate on either flank as well as centrally.
