Premier League champions Manchester City were presented with the trophy following their 1-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s side were crowned champions for a third successive season following Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Citizens then cruised to victory over Chelsea, and lifted the trophy in front of their fans after the full-time whistle.

For Arsenal, their search for a first title win since 2004 will continue for at least another season, although they have qualified for the Champions League for the first time in seven years.

Arteta will undoubtedly be looking to bolster his squad ahead of their European campaign next term, and it appears that the Gunners could make two huge signings this summer.

According to Football Insider, the north London outfit could sign both Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo when the transfer window reopens.

Arteta is reportedly keen to bolster his midfield options ahead of next season, and the north London outfit could complete deals for both players.

Rice could be on his way to Arsenal this summer

It is claimed that West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is Arsenal’s number one target for the upcoming transfer window, although they also remain interested in Brighton and Hove Albion star Caicedo.

Rice, 24, has established himself as one of the best central midfielders in Europe in recent seasons, and became the Hammers’ captain at the start of the current season.

The England international has made more than 240 appearances for his current side, but has just over a year remaining on his current contract and looks extremely likely to be sold this summer.

Arsenal are said to be leading the race to sign Rice, although they could face competition for his signature from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Caicedo, meanwhile, has been in sensational form for the Seagulls since making his league debut in April last year.

The Ecuadorian midfielder was the subject of at least one offer from Arsenal in January, but Brighton stood firm and rejected the approach.

He then signed a new long-term contract with Brighton, but Arsenal remain interested in the player and could make an effort to sign him regardless of whether or not they land Rice.
