Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will be hoping to see his side continue their good form when the Premier League returns after the international break.

The Gunners currently sit third in the top flight table, just a single point behind league leaders Manchester City, who face second-placed Liverpool in their next match.

Having finished as runners-up to City last term, Arteta will be desperate for his side to go one better this time around.

Despite that, it appears that the Spaniard is prepared to let one of his defenders leave the club in January.

As per 90min, the Gunners are prepared to allow Jakub Kiwior to depart the club on loan when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Polish defender joined Arsenal from Italian side Spezia back in January, and made eight appearances during the second half of last season.

Kiwior could depart The Emirates on loan in January

Kiwior deputised for William Saliba when the Frenchman picked up an injury, but he has struggled for game time since the start of the current campaign.

In total he has made eight appearances so far this term, playing just 182 minutes of Premier League football so far.

The Poland international remains behind both Saliba and Gabriel in the pecking order of central defenders at The Emirates, although he can also operate at left-back.

The report claims that the 23-year-old could be loaned out in January in a bid to guarantee regular first team football, with Serie A clubs said to be interested in signing him.

AC Milan, Roma, and Atalanta are all said to be interested in the possibility of signing Kiwior on loan for the second half of the campaign.

Kiwior, who cost Arsenal a reported fee of £21 million at the start of the year, is contracted to the North London outfit until 2027.
