Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a £23 million move for Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan, according to the Sun on Sunday.

The Turkey international only moved to the Spanish giants from Atletico Madrid for £35 million last summer, but was unable to play for the club until January because of Barca’s transfer ban.

However, rumours suggest that the La Liga champions are already willing to cash in on the 29-year-old following the arrival of Denis Suarez from Villarreal, which has alerted Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, who is looking to strengthen his squad this summer.

Turan, who made just 13 starts in all competitions for Barcelona since the start of the year, and was left out of their Champions League squad, is also attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund and Fenerbahce.

Arsenal have made two signings this summer following their second-placed finish in the Premier League last term, with Granit Xhaka joining from Borussia Monchengladbach for around £30 million, while they also brought in 21-year-old Japanese striker, Takuma Asano.
