Arsenal are reportedly ready to land Argentina international striker Mauro Icardi in the New Year.
The Premier League giants, who slipped to fourth in the table following Saturday’s shock 2-1 defeat at West Brom, are eyeing a €30m move for the Inter Milan hitman.
The 22-year-old, who made his international debut against Uruguay back in October 2013, has scored four and assisted one goal in 11 league appearances for the Serie A outfit this season.
After being appointed team captain at the beginning of the campaign; Icardi has struggled to lead the line for Roberto Mancini’s men this term, especially having scored a sensational 22 league goals in just 36 games last year.
However Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is not alone in wanting to acquire the Argentina ace during the forthcoming January transfer window, as Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool has also been linked with moves for Icardi in the past.
