Arsenal have reportedly identified Germany international Marco Reus as a possible replacement for Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez, according to the Telegraph.
The Premier League side, who have stumbled to back-to-back league defeats following losses to Everton and Manchester City to fall down to fourth in the top-flight standings, are interested in the Borussia Dortmund winger if the Gunners fail to tie down the above duo to new contracts.
The 27-year-old, who has 29 international caps for his country, has scored four goals and provided six assists in just six appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit so far this season.
Wideman Reus, who arrived at Dortmund back in January 2012 following his move from German rivals Borussia Monchengladbach, has scored an impressive 80 goals in 171 games overall for the club.
However, the Premier League club’s priority is still to try and persuade Ozil and Sanchez to extend their deals at the Emirates Stadium, with both star players reportedly wanting pay rises above the £200,000-a-week mark.
