Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez.

The Algeria international has started the season in fine form for the Foxes, scoring four goals in their first four Premier League fixtures of the season, which has caught the eye of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

The Frenchman regards the 24-year-old, who has also been linked with a £5m transfer to Roma and Villarreal, as one of the brightest talents in the English top flight.

Arsenal have been short of goals so far this term, with own goals as their top scorer with two, and Olivier Giroud netting their only other strike.

Absolutely no chance of Arsenal signing Mahrez, he’s just signed a new four year deal and only last week, Ranieri categorically stated that he’s not for sale for any amount of money. He said we are building something here and we’re not a selling club.

Our owners made half a billion profit in the last six months so they don’t need the money.

Wenger’s in dreamland if he thinks he’s got any hope. Our owners don’t want to sell and neither does Ranieri, equals Bob Hope!

Arsenal fans knew since before the transfer window opened that we needed an extra CB, an extra DM and a striker. The only first team signing has been a goalkeeper. We still need a CB, A DM and a striker. We now read we might be signing a winger. What does it take to get through to Wenger?
