Arsenal fans have been through all kinds of emotions in the 2020/21 season.

Things looked rosy at the start of the campaign following an FA Cup and Community Shield victory.

But Mikel Arteta’s side then went on a dismal run which saw the club deliver their worst start to a top-flight season in decades.

Seven games without a win and just four points off the bottom-three, the previously applauded Spaniard was fighting to save his job.

The introduction of some younger blood and those hungry for opportunities have since steadied the ship with wins against Chelsea, Brighton and West Brom all recorded in a week.

Despite the turn around in form, the North London side are still looking closely at possible new signings this month.

Bissouma in action against Arsenal.

According to football.london, Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma is one player the Gunners are looking closely at.

Reported to be an Arsenal fan, Bissouma, 24, has impressed in a struggling Seagulls side, playing 16 of their 17 Premier League matches this season.

The Mali international joined Brighton from Lille – where he played alongside current Gunners defender Gabriel – in 2018.

However, with two-and-a-half-years left to run on his deal at the Amex, it would take a substantial fee for Graham Potter to part with one of his key men.

Also, with Dani Ceballos, Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, Joe Willock, and Mohamed Elneny all on the books, Arteta may need to ship out players in central midfield in order to bring in a new one.
