The pressure on Arsene Wenger wasn’t so much relieved as simply postponed as Arsenal twice came back against Manchester City at the Emirates, with the last goal coming from Shkodran Mustafi. 

Arsenal’s draw leaves them in fifth placed, three points behind Manchester United but with a game in hand as Wenger looks to keep his record of finishing in the top four in every season for 20 years going.

While the Gunners showed resilience to come back from Leroy Sane’s opener thanks to a Theo Walcott strike, parity was to be short lived as City regained the lead two minutes later before Mustafi headed in ten minutes later.

Despite his goal, the German international doesn’t appear to have convinced all of the Gunners’ support and with the fans split in their opinions about Wenger and the board, not to mention several players, Mustafi is certainly one that divides opinion, with many questioning his defending.
