Title hopefuls Arsenal travel to the south coast to face Bournemouth when the Premier League returns next weekend.

Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit third in the top flight table, although they are just a single point behind early leaders Liverpool and are currently level with reigning champions Manchester City.

Having finished as runners-up in each of the past two seasons, Arteta will be desperate to see his side go one better this time around and lift the Premier League title for the first time in more than two decades.

Off the pitch, one of Arsenal’s forwards appears to be attracting interest from Germany.

As per Football Insider, Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach are interested in Arsenal’s Nathan Butler-Oyedeji.

The 21-year-old is a product of the Gunners’ youth academy but hasn’t yet made his senior debut for the North London club.

He has also failed to score a single goal during loan spells with both Accrington Stanley and Cheltenham Town.

Despite his lack of experience at senior level, Butler-Oyedeji has been prolific for Arsenal’s youth sides.

This season he has scored five goals and provided two assists in five matches in the Premier League 2.

He is said to have attracted interest from several European clubs, with Monchengladbach having scouted the player on multiple occasions of late.

Butler-Oyedeji was part of Arteta’s squad for pre-season and has been named on the bench for games in both the Premier League and Champions League this term.

The report suggests that Arsenal are committed to developing the youngster and want to show him a clear pathway to regular first team football.

Monchengladbach, though, can likely offer the player first team football instantly.
