Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah is in talks over a move to Crystal Palace, according to reports.

The 22-year-old has played just three Premier League matches this season and is out of contract in the summer.

Nketiah played in the Gunners’ shock FA Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest at the weekend but, according to The Times, that could possibly be his last appearance in an Arsenal shirt.

It’s claimed that Palace have opened discussions with the Lewisham-born player who is set to be available for a cut price as his contract has just six months to run.

The Eagles had a £12m offer rejected for the England Under-21 international last summer but the striker has since rejected the offer of a new deal at the Emirates.

Vieira is aiming to raid his former club.

Despite having Christian Benteke, Odsonne Edouard, Jordan Ayew and Jean-Philippe Mateta as central strikers in his squad, former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira is keen to add Nketiah to his ranks.

However, it’s understood that Mikel Arteta isn’t keen to lose the Gunners academy graduate as it would leave Alexandre Lacazette as the only available senior centre forward in the Spaniard’s squad.

Nketiah, who also had a loan spell with Leeds, has scored 18 goals in 72 matches in all competitions for Arsenal.
