Arsenal have been handed a huge boost in their chase for wantaway Wolfsburg forward Julian Draxler, as Bayern Munich manager, Carlo Ancelotti has ruled the German giants out of the race.

The former Chelsea manager and his Bayern side face Draxler & Co this weekend. Speaking of the Germany international ahead of the clash, Ancelotti said:

“Draxler is a very interesting player. Full stop.

“He can play in any team. Our team is complete. We won’t do anything in winter – there’s no market for us.”

The rumours surrounding the 23-year-old and a move to The Emirates after the summer had died down somewhat until they were reignited by Draxler himself, who has made it very clear he intends to leave as soon as he can.

Despite the fact that the Bundesliga side are out of the race for the forward, rated at €36m, the Gunners will still have to battle with French champions PSG, who are reportedly interested in a move.

Draxler is, however, having a quiet season so far, having not picked up a goal or assist in 12 outings.
