Tottenham Hotspur host rivals Arsenal in a fascinating North London derby on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs have won, drawn and lost already this season, being beaten 2-1 by Newcastle United courtesy of a late Alexander Isak winner last time out.

The Gunners, meanwhile, won their first two games of the new Premier League campaign, but were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton and Hove Albion last time out after Declan Rice’s controversial sending off.

Off the pitch, though, it appears that there is some good news on the horizon for Arsenal.

As per CaughtOffside, Arsenal target Javi Guerra could be available at a much lower price than his £85 million release clause.

The report claims that the Valencia star is a target for both Arsenal and fellow Premier League side Aston Villa.

It is also claimed that the La Liga outfit are currently considering sell the midfielder at a much lower price – possibly even letting him go for less than £25 million.

Guerra, 21, is a product of Valencia’s youth system and has now played more than 50 times for the Spanish side across all competitions.

Despite his importance to Valencia, the report claims that those in charge of the club are considering the idea of selling him amid strong interest from several clubs including Arsenal.

According to the report, Arsenal are working to identify potential targets as they look for replacements for ageing midfield duo Jorginho and Thomas Partey, who culd both leave the club in the next 12 months.

The report also claims that both the Gunners and the Villans are seriously interested in signing the central midfielder in the near future.

Guerra’s current contract, which includes the release clause, is set to expire in the summer of 2027, but his current employers could instead choose to sell him prior to that date.

The player himself is currently said to favour the idea of a move to The Emirates over a switch to Villa Park, chiefly due to the opportunity to work under Arteta.
