Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been handed a huge boost ahead of his sides Premier League clash against Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

According to reports from The Mirror, Germany international Shkodran Mustafi is set to make his return from injury against the Cherries at Dean Court.

The summer signing, who has formed a formidable partnership with Laurent Koscielny, picked up a hamstring injury when the Gunners beat stoke 3-1 in December.

Although the former Valencia man is set to make his return, having been named on the bench in the 2-0 win over Sam Allardyce’s Crystal Palace on New Year’s Day, Wenger will be without Mustafi’s compatriot Mesut Ozil, who is still unavailable through illness.

A win for the Gunners would take them to within a point of second placed Liverpool who were held to a draw at struggling Sunderland on Monday night.

However, the Cherries will go into the game knowing they could get something, having already taken the scalps of Liverpool, Everton and Leicester at home this term.
