Arsenal have reportedly watched top summer transfer target Granit Xhaka play a whopping THIRTY times already this season, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Premier League side, who currently sit third in the English top-flight standings, but 11 points adrift of surprise league leaders Leicester City with one game in hand, are thought to be heavily interested in a move for the Switzerland international midfielder once the 2015-16 campaign has concluded.
The 23-year-old, who has 41 international caps for his country, has scored three goals and provided one assist in 30 appearances in all competitions for Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach so far this season.
Xhaka, who started his career in his homeland with FC Basel, played the full 90 minutes in both of Switzerland’s defeats to the Republic of Ireland and Bosnia over the Easter international break.
With the Gunners set to lose Mikel Arteta, Tomis Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini this summer, boss Arsene Wenger is keen on luring Xhaka to the Emirates Stadium.
The report suggests that Arsenal will make a £30m swoop for Monchengladbach’s prized asset.
