Arsenal travel to The Netherlands to face PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta’s side look set to miss out on the Premier League title once again after a goalless draw against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday allowed Liverpool to extend their lead at the top of the table to 13 points.

The Gunners have finished as runners-up in each of the past two campaigns and look set to do so once again, with just 11 games remaining.

With that in mind, the North London side are likely to want to bolster Arteta’s squad during this summer’s transfer window, and it appears that they are hoping to beat Manchester United to the signing of a Serie A star.

As reported by CaughtOffside, Arsenal are hoping to agree a deal to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this summer.

The Serbia international could be available for a fee of around £50 million during this summer’s window, and the report suggests that both Arsenal and United are therefore interested in signing him.

Vlahovic is a target for both Man United and Arsenal

Vlahovic joined Juventus from fellow Serie A side Fiorentina in 2022 and has since scored 55 goals in 133 games for the Old Lady, as well as registering 11 assists.

The Serbia international’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season and he is yet to agree an extension with his current club, and the report suggests that he is therefore likely to depart Turin this summer.

It is claimed that Arsenal are showing the strongest interest in the player at present, and the Gunners could step up their interest in the forward in the near future.

Arteta will be without both Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus for the remainder of the campaign after the pair both suffered severe injuries.
