Arsenal will hope to regain ground in the Premier League title race when they host leaders Liverpool on Sunday.

A 2-0 defeat against Bournemouth last weekend allowed Liverpool to extend their lead over the Gunners to four points by beating Chelsea 2-1 on Sunday.

Arne Slot’s side have a daunting run of fixtures over the coming weeks, though, and Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will be hopeful that his side can take advantage of any potential slip ups.

In the meantime, it has emerged that the North London side are chasing a Champions League star.

According to GiveMeSport, Arsenal are monitoring PSV Eindhoven winger Noa Lang, 25.

The Dutchman scored during PSV’s draw against French giants Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, continuing his impressive start to the new season.

Arteta are long-term admirers of Lang

Arsenal are long-term admirers of Lang and will continue to keep tabs on the player before potentially formalising their interest next year, the report says.

Lang spent time at the youth academies of PSV’s rivals Ajax and Feyenoord as a youngster, but joined the Eindhoven outfit from Club Brugge last summer.

Since joining PSV he has scored eight times and provided three assists in 30 matches for the club.

This season he has three goals across all competitions, and his bright start to the new campaign has alerted Arsenal.

Lang’s contract is set to run until the end of the 2027/28 campaign, but the Gunners could look to sign the winger either in January or next summer.

Arsenal recruited a number of players over the summer, including winger Raheem Sterling on loan from London rivals Chelsea.

Arteta also has the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard as options on the flanks, but it appears that the Spaniard is keen to bolster his squad.
