Arsenal twice threw away leads as they were held to a 2-2 draw by London rivals Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

Jakub Kiwior got the Gunners off to a perfect start at The Emirates as he put the hosts ahead inside three minutes, before Eberechi Eze drew the Eagles level.

Leandro Trossard then restored Arsenal’s lead before the break, but Jean-Philippe Mateta’s late chip earned Oliver Glasner’s side an important point.

The result means that Premier League leaders Liverpool now need just a single point from their final five games of the season to win competition for just the second time in their history.

This summer, Mikel Arteta and those in charge of Arsenal’s recruitment will likely want to bolster the Spaniard’s squad after finishing as runners-up for three consecutive seasons.

Now, it appears that the North London side are contemplating a shock move for a player from one of their fiercest rivals.

As per CaughtOffside, the Gunners are showing interest in Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos, who is currently on loan at Strasbourg.

Santos has been capped once by Brazil at senior level

Santos, 20, joined Chelsea from Brazilian side Vasco de Gama in 2023 but is yet to make his senior debut for the West London side.

He has spent time on loan at former side Vasco de Gama, but featured only twice during a loan spell at Nottingham Forest.

Since joining Strasbourg last summer, the young midfielder has played 30 times across all competitions for Liam Rosenior’s side.

The report claims the player himself hasn’t fully committed to returning to Stamford Bridge at the end of the current campaign, and he could instead be available for around £38-42 million.

Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan are all also said to be keeping tabs on the Brazilian, who has been capped once by his country at senior level.
