Gabriel’s bullet header earned Premier League title-chasing Arsenal an important victory over rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.

After a fiery first half it wasn’t until midway through the second period when the centre-back headed home Bukayo Saka’s corner to break the deadlock.

The hosts struggled to carve out any real chances after falling behind and Mikel Arteta’s side were able to hold on and secure a crucial three points in the title race.

Now, it has emerged that the Gunners are one of a number of clubs chasing a Germany international.

As per Fichajes via Football Insider, Arsenal are interested in Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder left Chelsea’s youth academy to join the German giants back in 2019 and has since established himself in the first team at The Allianz.

Musiala is a target for several clubs including Arsenal

In total the midfielder has played more than 160 times for the Bavarian giants, scoring 45 times and providing 37 assists.

The report claims that Arsenal are willing to ‘go to war’ to sign Musiala, although they will face stiff competition for his signature from clubs including Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The midfielder is contracted to Bayern until the end of the 2025/26 campaign, but the report claims that he is likely to be the subject of bids next summer.

Bayern, however, are hoping to agree a contract extension with Musiala and have planned to begin discussions soon.

Having switched his international allegiance from England, Musiala has now played 36 times for Germany at senior level.

He impressed during the recent Nations League matches, scoring and providing three assists in a 5-0 win over Hungary.
