Arsenal are keen on signing midfielder Florian Grillitsch from Hoffenheim, according to reports.
The 24-year-old has played 24 times for the German club this term and 89 in all since signing from Werder Bremen in 2017.
Sport Bild report that Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the Austria international as Mikel Arteta aims to bolster his squad in the summer.
It’s claimed that Grillitsch’s contract, which expires in 2022, has a release clause of £16.9million.
However, that only applies to teams outside of the Premier League, with club’s at England’s elite level needing to fork out £21.1million to land the player.
As well as Arsenal, it’s claimed that Southampton, Newcastle United and Inter Milan are also keen on the midfielder.
Grillitsch is expected to be in Austria’s squad for Euro 2020 having been capped 15 times by his country.
