Arsenal will hope to keep alive their Premier League title chase when they face Wolves on Saturday evening.

The Gunners’ title pursuit was dealt a significant blow when they slumped to a 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa last weekend, and Mikel Arteta’s side were then knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

A 1-0 win earned Bayern a 3-2 aggregate victory in their quarter-final tie, ending Arsenal’s hopes of a fist ever Champions League triumph.

In the meantime, Arsenal are said to be chasing two Premier League stars.

As per The Guardian, the North London side are interested in both Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise and Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak.

The report claims that those in charge of Arsenal’s recruitment are hoping to add a striker and a winger to Arteta’s squad, and Olise and Isak have emerged as prime targets.

Isak, 24, joined the Magpies from Spanish side Real Sociedad in 2022 and has since scored an impressive 31 goals in 61 games across all competitions, as well as registering four assists.

Olise is said to be a target for Arsenal this summer

The Gunners had scouted Isak prior to his £63 million move to the North East two years ago, but the Swede could now cost as much as £100 million.

Olise, meanwhile, joined the Eagles from Championship side Reading almost three years ago, and has been an outstanding performer for the London side ever since.

In total he has played 84 times, scoring 12 goals and providing 22 assists across all competitions.

The Frenchman is said to have a release clause in the region of £65 million in his current contract, but other Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are also said to have shown an interest in the player.

Arsenal boss Arteta is keen to add firepower to his squad during the upcoming transfer window, with a view to mounting another charge for silverware next term.
