Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Colombia international defender Jeison Murillo this summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Arsenal Fever).

The Premier League side, who finished narrowly above North London rivals Tottenham in second place in the English top-flight standings on the final day of the 2015/16 term, are ready to try and lure the Inter Milan centre-half to the Emirates Stadium ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

The 24-year-old, who has 17 international caps for his country, scored two goals and provided one assist in 35 appearances in all competitions for Roberto Mancini’s Serie A outfit this season.

Murillo, who is also said to be attracting interest from fellow Premier League rivals Liverpool, West Ham United and Everton, is wanted by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to strengthen his defensive ranks this summer as the club continue their quest of securing their first league title since 2004.

The report suggests that the Inter Milan star could be available for around £19m.
