Arsenal sit third in the Premier League table after an emphatic 4-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Ben White were all on the scoresheet on the south coast, with Germany international Havertz netting his first league goal for his new club.

The Gunners have won five of their seven league games so far and sit just a single point behind reigning champions Manchester City, who suffered a first defeat of the season at the hands of Wolves on Saturday.

Gary O’Neil’s side battled to a 2-1 victory over the Citizens, and it appears that one of Wolves’ most impressive performers could be of interest to Arsenal.

According to 90min, the North London outfit are keeping tabs on Wolves’ Pedro Neto.

The 23-year-old has started the new season in fine form, scoring once and providing four assists in seven league games so far.

Neto has emerged as a target for Arsenal after his impressive start to the new season

On Saturday, he helped put the hosts in the lead after running from the halfway line before seeing his cross diverted into his own net by City centre-back Ruben Dias.

The report claims that Arsenal had scouts in attendance to watch the Portuguese’s impressive display against City, and have also watched him on other occasions over the past month.

Winger Neto joined Wolves from Italian side Lazio back in 2019 for a fee of around £15 million and has since made 118 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 17 assists.

Neto is contracted to Wolves until 2027 which puts the club under very little pressure to sell him, however it remains to be seen whether or not the Midlands outfit would be willing to sell him if their asking price is met.

Spanish side Atletico Madrid are also said to be interested in the player, who has attracted interest from Saudi Arabian Pro League sides.
