Arsenal have reportedly submitted a whopping £43m bid for Germany international Julian Draxler, according to ESPN (via The Sun).

The Premier League side, who finished second in the English top-flight standings last term after pipping North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the runners-up spot on the final day of term, have been linked with a move for the highly-rated Wolfsburg midfielder.

The 22-year-old, who has 23 international caps for his country and is with the Germany national team preparing for Thursday night’s EURO 2016 semi-final in Marseille against France, scored eight goals and provided eight assists in 31 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit last season.

Draxler, who only joined Wolfsburg on a five-year deal last summer after leaving German rivals Schalke, is wanted by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger ahead of the forthcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The report suggests that the Frenchman has launched a bid for the German star, who was also a transfer target for Arsenal 12 months ago before opting for Wolfsburg.

  1. Wenger is still pretending in the summer transfer market by jumping from one player to another without making any meaningful signings. I foresee a mass exodus of top quality and world class players into the premier league right now and Arsenal seems to be the only top 4 clubs that is yet to sign and strengthen its squad. The likes of Richardo Rodriguez, Alvaro Morata, Higuim and Julian Draxler are wasting away searching for meaningful buyers. With the coming of Lionel Messi and Paul Pogba into the EPL, there’s surely no hidden place for the strong hearted Arsene Wenger. He and Arsenal board of directors must wake up to their responsibilities or stand the ultimate chance of losing their most valued fans in terms of support at the prestigious Emirates stadia this season.

  2. Is this the way arrogant arsene wenger continue to dribble arsenal fans until the league commence, it seems the board and wenger does’nt have any regards for we die hard fans it is bcos of nonsence wenger philosophy dat makes arsenal loses the title 2014/2015/2016, let wenger buy matured legs not premature players in de name of future or does the money comes from wengers and de boards pocket or the fans?.
