Arsenal beat Real Madrid 2-1 on Wednesday night to set up a Champions League semi-final against French side Paris Saint-Germain.

The Gunners produced a stunning display to beat the holders 3-0 in the first leg at The Emirates last week, and extended their aggregate lead through Bukayo Saka in Madrid.

Vinicius Junior pulled a goal back for the hosts shortly after, before Gabriel Martinelli secured Mikel Arteta’s side’s place in the last four with a late goal.

PSG will undoubtedly provide a stern test for Arsenal in the semis, but Arteta’s side will be full of confidence after knocking out the reigning champions.

Off the pitch, it appears that the North London side are one of the clubs leading the race to land a La Liga winger.

As per CaughtOffside, Arsenal are one of the frontrunners to sign Real Betis teenager Jesus Rodriguez this summer.

The report claims that the Gunners, along with Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea, are interested in the 19-year-old.

Rodriguez has attracted interest from English clubs

All three sides are said to have scouted the player in recent months, however no official offers have yet been made for the youngster.

Rodriguez is a product of Betis’ youth academy and is enjoying a fine breakthrough season in Seville, having made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this term.

He has scored twice in that time, as well as registering two assists for his boyhood club.

The teenager is under contract until the end of the 2028/29 campaign, however, and the report claims that Betis are reluctant to allow the attacker to leave the club during the upcoming summer window.

It is claimed that Arteta and those in charge of Arsenal’s recruitment view Rodriguez as an exciting potential investment for the future due to his age.
