Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp involved in the potential loan move of Donny van de Beek, according to the Sky Sports

Ex Ajax midfielder van de Beek has seen limited opportunities under both interim manager Ralf Rangnick and ex manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.

Much to the frustration of many fans at Old Trafford who seem desperate for the player to at least get a run of games and be given the chance to perform in the Premier League.

Ex United and now popular pundit Gary Neville has been vocal in the past of his disappointment in the lack of opportunities the Holland international is receiving. Especially when he is handed a matter of minutes in some Premier League games and expected to make an impact.

A January loan move to another Premier League club seemed a very sensible and viable option. Allowing the midfielder to gain valuable experience of regular top flight English football, and a club lower down the league to benefit from the attributes of a talented player.

Newcastle United were the first club linked, given their new financial position and their dangerous position in the relegation zone. But now Crystal Palace have emerged as a potential target.

SkySports have reported that much of this is down to the link of Palace manager Patrick Vieira and his old Arsenal buddy Bergkamp. In a strange twist of events, Bergkamp’s daughter is currently with van de Beek and this is how the potential loan move has sparked.

I think most football fans would agree it would be in the interest of both parties to get the deal over the line before the window deadline.
