Arsenal are reportedly considering making a move for Norway international forward Mohamed Elyounoussi, according to ESPN FC.

The Premier League side, who impressively defeated AC Milan 2-0 inside the San Siro in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night, have been linked with a summer swoop for the FC Basel star.

The 23-year-old, who has 14 international caps for his country, has scored seven goals and provided 13 assists in 31 appearances in all competitions for the Swiss outfit so far this season.

Elyounoussi, who was in fact born in Al-Hoceima, Morocco, has netted 17 goals in 71 games overall for Basel since joining from Molde FK back in July 2016.

The left winger, who can also operate as a central attacking midfielder, impressed during Basel’s surprise 2-1 UEFA Champions League victory over Premier League leaders Manchester City in midweek, bagging the away side’s equaliser inside the Etihad Stadium, before setting up Michael Lang’s winner.

However, The Gunners may face stiff rivalry from fellow Premier League clubs Leicester City and Southampton for the Norwegian’s signature this summer.
