Arsenal are reportedly lining up a £22 million bid for Porto midfielder Ruben Neves as they look to find cover for the injured Francis Coquelin.

The Gunners midfielder is set to be out for around three months after suffering knee ligament damage in the defeat to West Brom last month, and Arsene Wenger is understood to be considering bringing in a replacement in January.

One of his targets is the highly-rated 18-year-old who, despite his tender years, has already made 49 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese outfit, scoring his only goal to date on his debut.

Neves, who has been linked with a move to a number of top clubs across Europe, has also played in the Champions League on 12 occasions.
