Arsenal are reportedly lining up a summer move for AZ Alkmaar striker, Vincent Janssen, according to the Daily Mail.

The attacker has scored 29 goals in all competitions for the Eredivisie outfit this season, which has led to him being labelled as the “new Ruud van Nistelrooy”, as well as catching the attentions of a number of top clubs across Europe, including the Gunners.

The 21-year-old further enhanced his reputation with Premier League clubs when he scored a penalty on his first international start for the Netherlands in a 2-1 win against England at Wembley in March, while also assisting Holland’s other goal.

Arsene Wenger is keen to strengthen his squad at the end of the season after another disappointing campaign which has ended trophy-less, and one particular area where the Frenchman is looking for reinforcements is in the striking position, where Olivier Giroud has struggled in 2016 – the France international is currently without a goal in his last 15 top flight matches.
