Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are set to spark a transfer battle this summer in their attempts to lure Scotland international Kieran Tierney to English football, according to the Daily Star.

The Premier League trio are thought to be interested in recruiting Celtic’s highly-rated left-back following his remarkable breakthrough campaign at Celtic Park.

The 18-year-old, who made his senior international debut against Denmark back in March [2016], has provided eight assists in 31 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish Premiership leaders so far this season.

Tierney, who was born on the Isle of Man and still has three years on his current deal, has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in Scotland having become an important part of Celtic boss Ronny Deila’s first-team plans throughout this term.

The report suggests that Premier League giants Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City are readying bids of £5m in their respective pursuits to snatch the young defender from under the noses of their rivals.
