Arsenal will be hoping to finish their remarkable season with a win when they face Wolves on Sunday.

The Gunners topped the Premier League table for more than 200 days before being leapfrogged by rivals Manchester City last month, but Mikel Arteta will undoubtedly be proud of his side’s efforts.

The north London outfit have qualified for the Champions League for the first time in seven years, and it appears that those in charge of the club have already started trying to bolster the squad ahead of their European campaign.

As per Nevzat Dindar via Metro, the London side have tabled a £14 million offer for Galatasaray full-back Sacha Boey.

Boey, 22, has been a regular for the Turkish Super Lig side this season, making 31 appearances across all competitions.

The offer is likely to be rejected, though, with Galatasaray reportedly demanding more than £21 million for Boey.

This season, Arteta has primarily used centre-back Ben White as a makeshift right-back, with Takehiro Tomiyasu filling in when the England international has been unavailable.

Boey is said to be a target for Arsenal this summer

White has enjoyed a fantastic individual campaign, but it appears that his manager is keen to add a natural right-back to the squad.

Boey joined Galatasaray from French side Rennes in the summer of 2021 and has since made 50 appearances for his current club.

During his time in France, Boey played 12 times for Rennes and made 24 appearances during a loan spell with Dijon.

Galatasaray’s president, Erden Timur, is said to have travelled to London earlier this week to discuss a deal for Boey, although it is claimed that the Turkish side are standing firm on their valuation of the former France under-20 international.

Arsenal do also have Cedric Soares on their books, although the Portuguese joined London rivals Fulham on loan in January and has since struggled to maintain a regular starting spot at Craven Cottage.

The former Southampton right-back’s contract at The Emirates is due to expire next summer and he therefore faces an extremely uncertain future at the club.
