Arsenal ensured they remain top of the Premier League table by beating rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners scored three first half goals to put themselves in a commanding position, but defender Cristian Romero pulled one back for the hosts shortly after the break.

A late Son Heung-Min penalty then set up a nervy finale, but the Gunners held on to record a 3-2 win and pick up a crucial three points.

Mikel Arteta’s side sit top of the table, a point ahead of reigning champions Manchester City.

Off the pitch, Arsenal are reportedly fighting it out with two huge rivals in the race to sign a highly rated Premier League midfielder.

Baleba has been in good form for the Seagulls this season

According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are all interested in Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba.

The 20-year-old only joined Brighton last summer, signing from French side Lille.

He has since played a key role for Roberto De Zerbi’s side, making 33 appearances so far this season across all competitions, including 23 Premier League games.

His impressive form has attracted interest from elsewhere, though, and the report claims that all three clubs are interested in the Cameroonian ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Brighton would be willing to listen to offers in the region of £55 million for the young midfielder, the report claims.

Baleba’s current contract with the Seagulls is set to run until the end of the 2027/28 season, but the south coast club could cash in on him far sooner than that.

Man United are set to be in the market for a new central midfielder this summer, with loanee Sofyan Amrabat to return to parent club Fiorentina, and the futures of both Casemiro and Christian Eriksen uncertain.
