Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos sends message to boss Mikel Arteta about his future, when speaking to Spanish media outlet El Larguero

The 23-year-old joined the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid back in August and has been involved in a rollercoaster of a season.

Many of the ups and downs have been out of the Spaniard’s hands with Arsenal swapping managers and the long break in football due to Coronavirus.

Arsenal boss Arteta has used Ceballos more than Unai Emery did.

However, the fact remains that the classy midfielder has been one of Arteta’s most used players since January despite some sub-par performances.

Ceaballos spoke very openly about his future in an interview with El Larguero.

He said: ‘The owner of my future next year is me. Next year I want to play and I will hardly be able to do it at Real Madrid.

‘If I would return with Zidane? I have to make the decision. He told me this year that the best thing was for me to leave and get experience.

“Everyone makes their decisions and they must be respected, I have nothing to attribute to him because he has always been very clear with me. ‘Betis? It is an option. I do not close the door to play in any club.

“I do not rule out continuing in the Premier [League].”
