Arsenal’s Kelechi Nwakali is closing in on a move to SD Huesca, according to reports.

The 21-year-old signed for the Gunners in September 2016 a year after winning the Golden Ball at the 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

However, the Nigerian has failed to make an appearance for the North London side die to work permit issus.

This has seen him have two loan stints with MVV Maastricht, as well as one with VVV Venlo and FC Porto B.

Now, All Nigeria Soccer report that the midfielder is on the verge of a permanent switch away from the Emirates.

It’s claimed that he will link up with SD Huesca after the Spanish Second Division struck an agreement with Arsenal.

Nwakali’s agent and older brother Allwell Nwakali said: ”Kelechi is joining a new club SD Huesca in Spain. We are terminating his contract with Arsenal.

We are preparing his visa to go to Spain but everything is okay. He has agreed to move there.

SD Huesca are expected to challenge for promotion back to La Liga after suffering relegation last term.
