The final day of the January transfer window on Tuesday didn’t disappoint, with a number of huge deals being completed in the Premier League and overseas.

Chelsea continued their remarkable run of spending by completing a £105 million deal for former Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez, who has become the most expensive signing in the history of English football.

Fernandez became Chelsea’s seventh summer signing, following Mykhaylo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos, David Datro Fofana and Noni Madueke through the door at Stamford Bridge.

Another notable bit of business that The Blues completed on deadline day was a sale, though, as they let midfielder Jorginho join fierce rivals Arsenal.

The Italy international moved across the capital for an initial £10 million, which could rise to £12 million.

Now, it appears that The Gunners could be looking to sign another Chelsea star.

According to The Guardian, the north London outfit are monitoring winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Englishman is currently on loan in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen, but the report claims that he is unlikely to remain a Chelsea player after his return.

The attacker, who has been capped three times by England at senior level, is set to be out of contract at the end of the current season and there have been no indications that he will sign, or be offered, an extension.

Hudson-Odoi, 22, is one of a number of players to have graduated from Chelsea’s academy setup and established themselves in the first team in recent years.

The winger has made more than 125 appearances for The Blues since his debut in 2018, scoring 16 goals and providing 22 assists.

He struggled for game time once the likes of Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech arrived in west London, and was therefore loaned out to Bundesliga side Leverkusen at the start of this season.

Since making the move, Hudson-Odoi has played in 11 of Leverkusen’s 14 Bundesliga matches.

The report also claims that Premier League champions Manchester City could be interested in left-back Ben Chilwell, who has struggled with a number of injuries during his relatively short Chelsea career so far.
