Arsenal are reportedly keeping close tabs on Spain youth international star Borja Mayoral, according to the Daily Star.

The joint-Premier League leaders, who were pinned back to a last-gasp 3-3 draw at Liverpool on Wednesday night, are thought to have already made contact with Real Madrid over the availability of their highly-rated striker.

The 18-year-old, who is a Spain Under-21 international, made his La Liga debut against Las Palmas back in October as a late substitute.

Mayoral; who has bagged five goals in 17 appearances for Madrid’s development side Castilla this season, is in negotiations over a new deal with the Spanish giants, but Madrid are understood to be unwilling to meet the youngster’s improved demands.

This has alerted Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to the Spaniard’s availability should contract talks stall.
