Arsenal will hope to stay in the hunt for the Premier League title when they face Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners have finished second in successive top flight campaigns, and manager Mikel Arteta will be desperate to ensure his side avoid a third straight disappointment.

Reigning champions Manchester City, and current leaders Liverpool will both provide stern competition for the North London side, though, and the title race looks set to once again drag on for much of the season.

Off the pitch, though, Arsenal appear to be chasing a Serie A star.

As per CaughtOffside, the Gunners are keeping tabs on Atalanta forward Charles De Ketelaere.

The Belgian joined Atalanta permanently over the summer after a year-long loan spell at the club, following a difficult spell with fellow Italian outfit AC Milan.

De Ketelaere is being linked with a move to Arsenal

He has impressed in the early stages of the campaign, and the report suggests that Arsenal are one of a number of clubs to have shown interest in the player.

Man City, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are all said to be monitoring the Belgium international’s situation.

The 23-year-old failed to score a single goal in 40 appearances for Milan, having joined from Belgian side Club Brugge in 2022.

During his time in Brugge, the attacking midfielder scored 25 times and provided 20 assists in 120 games.

His versatility could appeal to Arteta, as he is capable of operating as an attacking midfielder, striker, or on the wing.

De Ketelaere is contracted to Atalanta until the end of the 2026/27 season, which puts the Italian side in a commanding position during any potential negotiations.

While no clubs have yet enquired about the player’s availability, it is claimed that Arsenal are discussing internally about whether or not to formalise their interest.
