Arsenal are to move for Lille star Nicolas Pepe after failing with an offer for AS Roma’s Cengiz Under to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Gunners have reportedly had a £28million offer knocked back for the Turkey international as they await a bid in the region of £45million.

Now boss Unai Emery is thought to be interested in signing the 23-year-old Ligue 1 man to help bolster his attack as the Spanish boss chases a top-four finish.

The Ivorian is currently under contract with the French side until 2022 but reports suggest that that the North London club have offered £45million for his services.

Having already scored 13 goals this season, Pepe would be an exciting addition to Arsenal’s attack and would fill the void left after Danny Welbeck’s injury in November.
