Marco Reus was out of action for six months prior to Borussia Dortmund’s 8-4 victory over Legia Warsaw on Tuesday, but immediately hit the ground running with a hat-trick in a thrilling win for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

And, with uncertainty building around the future of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, both of whom have yet to agree new and improved deals at the club, Wenger should be keeping tabs on the 27-year-old.

The German international shot to prominence when he moved to Dortmund in 2012, and has netted 79 times in 166 games for the German side.

He has been named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season three times in four seasons, and was named the Dortmund Player of the Year for the 2013/14 campaign.

If Reus backs up his impressive first game with further excellent performances in the next few weeks, then many European clubs will be queuing up for his signature.

Yet, Wenger needs to get there first and secure a deal for the German.
