Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the signing of France youth international midfielder Yacine Adli, according to The Guardian.

The Premier League side, who finished sixth in the English top-flight standings this term, have been strongly linked with a swoop for the highly rated Paris Saint-Germain starlet ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

The 17-year-old, who has featured seven times for France’s Under-18 side, made his first-team debut for the Ligue 1 champions after coming off the bench in the 83rd minute during PSG’s goalless encounter at Caen last month.

Adli, who scored one goal in 11 appearances in the UEFA Youth League this campaign, is an attacking central midfielder.

Ex-PSG coach Unai Emery is now in charge of Arsenal.

The report suggests The Gunners have offered the teenager a three-year contract at the Emirates Stadium, which includes various options, after the player rejected professional terms with PSG.

New Arsenal boss Unai Emery is keen on bringing Adli to the Premier League club after leaving PSG at the end of the previous 2017-18 season, having handed the young Frenchman his first-team debut.

The Gunners have completed one signing this summer, so far, with defender Stephan Lichtsteiner arriving from Juventus.
