Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a move for Argentina international midfielder Éver Banega, according to The Sun (Teamtalk).
The Premier League side, who take on Watford at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15:00), have been linked with signing the Sevilla star to replace Wales international Aaron Ramsey next summer.
Banega, 30, who has 65 international caps for his country, has scored three goals and provided one assist in 13 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit so far this season.
The Argentine, who featured three times for his country at this summer’s 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia, has netted 20 times in 157 games during his two spells at the Spanish side overall.
With fellow midfielder Ramsey set to leave the Emirates Stadium at the end of the current 2018-19 campaign, the report claims Arsenal could look to replace the Welshman with Banega, who is understood to have an £18m release clause.
